I'm Nikki, originally from Tennesse, and now proudly rooted in Mid-Michigan. You can find me at Lux the Salon in beautiful downtown Midland, where my mission is to create a safe haven for you to slow down, feel seen, and embrace your most authentic self.

I started my career over a decade ago answering phones at a salon in Tennessee, and now - many years, a few career pivots, and a whole lot of life later - I'm living the dream behind the chair.

These days I specialize in dimensional, natural looking reds and coppers that turn heads (and spark obsession), along with precession cuts that grow out like a dream. I'm all about keeping your hair healthy and vibrant, and in 2024 I was incredibly honored to be voted Best Stylist/Beauty Salon in the Midland Daily News Readers' Choice Awards - which still feels unreal!
Outside the salon, I'm a boy mom through and through. My husband, Jim, and I have been married 16 years and we're raising 3 teenage boys and 2 loveable labs - life is loud, busy and usually filled with sports practices, group chats, and the occasional mystery smell. IYKYK.

When I'm not doing the mom-loop around town or tripping over shoes in the hallway, you'll find me curled up with a good book, binge-watching Netflix, or casually roaming the aisles of Marshall's like it's my second job...because, let's be real, I might have a small obsession with home decor. I'm all about finding joy in the little things - good conversation, cozy spaces, and the kind of connections that make life feel a little less chaotic and a lot more meaningful. ​
I pride myself on delivering beautiful hair, while also prioritizing punctuality, transparent pricing, and continually seeking ways to enhance guest comfort. However, at my core I’m a hot mess express who drops the occasional cuss word, randomly breaks into song and dance, and can’t wait to share all about the chaos that is my life.
