I'm Nikki, originally from Tennesse, I'm proud to now call Mid-Michigan home. You can find me at Lux the Salon in beautiful downtown Midland. My mission is to create a safe haven where you can unwind and relax from your busy day while taking a moment to embrace your true self amidst life's chaos.
I started my career over a decade ago working behind the scenes as a receptionist at a well-known salon in Tennessee. Over the years, I worked my way into a managing role and eventually, when my youngest son started kindergarten, I was able to realize my dream of finally working behind the chair myself! I'm passionate about learning and taking classes each month to stay on top of the latest trends and techniques. I've made it my career to specialize in dimensional, believable reds and brunettes, as well as precision cutting. Above all, I am dedicated to ensuring your hair journey is not only about a final look, but also about keeping your hair as healthy as possible throughout the process.
Aside from being a stylist, I'm a proud mom and wife to the most amazing humans! My husband, Jim, and I have been married for 15 years and we have 3 teenage boys and two labs. When I'm not busy "ubering" my kids around to their various sports and activities, I enjoy catching up on Netflix, loosing myself in a good book, and date nights at the Midland Center for the Arts with my hubby. In the summer you won't find me camping, but don't be surprised if you see me hanging on the patio with my girlfriends and a good drink. Once the colder weather kicks in my southern bones want to hibernate and you'll find me curled up in front of a fire with a book or craft of some sort.
I pride myself on delivering beautiful hair, while also prioritizing punctuality, transparent pricing, and continually seeking ways to enhance guest comfort. However, at my core I’m a hot mess express who drops the occasional cuss word, randomly breaks into song and dance, and can’t wait to share all about the chaos that is my life.
